Tactical Habits Project
A leadership development system built on Army values, identity-based discipline, and real-world readiness. Designed for cadets, junior officers, and future commanders.
Train the Leader Before the Rank
Tactical Habits is the first phase of a four-part leadership system that prepares emerging leaders before they face real pressure.
Short, actionable chapters; Daily drills and A 30-day challenge.
Built for ROTC programs, leadership mentors, and officers in training.
About Me
I’m Quentin L. Brown — a U.S. Army officer, a Marion Military Institute graduate, and a firm believer that leadership starts before the title ever shows up on your uniform.
Tactical Habits wasn’t born from a textbook. It came from real pressure, personal failure, and the moments I realized discipline isn’t just about action — it’s about identity. Over the past two decades, I’ve trained, mentored, and served alongside leaders at every level. And I’ve seen what happens when people wait for the rank before they start leading.
This project is my answer to that. It’s not just a book — it’s a leadership tool designed for cadets, junior officers/NCOs, and anyone preparing to lead under pressure. While I’m the one writing these words, I’ve had help shaping them — from teammates, from soldiers, from mentors, and from hard-earned lessons.
Tactical Habits is for anyone ready to lead on purpose. Before the title. Before the rank.
